๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐ก๐ฅ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ข๐๐ฌ๐ฌ An ahlspiess belonging to the Last Heide Knight. It serves as his primary weaponry. Its durability surpasses that of common iron or steel, for it was forged with a special alloy known as Titanite. The composition of the alloy remains a mystery, as the only ones to know its secrets were Heidian Armorers long since perished in Heide when the kingdom sunk into the ocean. |
๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ A fine castle-forged bastard sword made with Titanite. Shining and splendid with not a speck of rust on it, evidently maintained with precious care. It is pale as milkglass, deathly sharp and unadorned with luxurious gleams of gold and gems. A blade wielded as a symbol of one of the Heide Knight Order's Five-Hundred and Fifty Commandmentsโ'Thou shalt not bind thyself to ye complacency of opulence.' |
๐๐๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ A regular, orthodox metal kite shield. Heide Knight often regaled listeners of its grandiose history. Of tales where Ivan the Great won the Saltfield Hill against Northern sea-raiders incursions with this very shield in hand or another epic in the next tavern, where Ser Greirat the Foolish used this shield to fend the drake, Ezazeal's flaming breath to save the maiden fair of Ashford. Its history protean with every tavern, and inordinately grander than its prior tellings, straying authenticity off its humble origins. |
๐๐๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ 'The wedge of riders thundered into the phalanx with crushing momentum, and at the moment of collision, the knights did dip their infamous great lances in complete unison; tipped with the cruel iron point that had time and time again punched through the hardest plates, the sturdiest of shields. Like a dagger thrust into an exposed belly, the Knights of Heide swept unhindered through everything between it and the organs of the Drangleic infantry.'โexcerpt from The Mounted Mightiest |
๐๐๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ Before the great kingdom was subsumed by the sea, the prosperous height of Heideian antiquity is in part owed to the Knights of Heide, a chivalric order that had developed a legendary reputation of its members rising to become heroes and great dragon slayers; renown that was said to have defended Heide's borders from invasions by foreign powers in fear of facing the Heide Knights upon the field. The armour and cloak they don were visually distinctive with their famed flat-topped great helm and white silk cloak. The armour was Titanite, hardy enough against any hacks and pummels but malleable enough to forge into armour. An ancient tradition in their order where the forging of their armaments was carried out by only the Heideian Armorers. |
